Melmac 1 - Hebbes 1

TILBURG | October 30, 2021
As the King's Song once disgustingly described: 'The day you knew would come is finally here...' After only defeats, it had to happen at some point. It was a day like that for Melmac 1: it started with bad weather. Fortunately, the other circumstances were of course great: Roy had had a great Thursday evening, Stefan was wearing a green sweatband and Duco was sitting comfortably on the couch.
King's song, again: are you ready? Yes, Melmac 1 was certainly ready for a wonderful student korfball derby - or is darby... or do you pronounce it as durby - against the Uuuuuuse Hebbes. Done everything to prepare. With a good warm-up. Class. Because of the rain and the wind we start the pot. We prevent. Class. And we were so good. The W of water that we will not yield to, just like the moderate opposition of Hebbes. They must have also thought: last time the cat was in the cup. Oh, what an underestimate. Unjustly. Who underestimates Melmac 1? Whatever God you pray to. Our deeds are great and we will not go down. Because yes, even at half time we were ahead. I don't remember how much, but does it really matter? Oh no? Precisely. As long as you know the outcome. This will probably be discussed later in the report. The W for we are one with each other, because that happened after the match. The first won race of the new and especially rejuvenated Melmac 1. Class performance. Roy was having a great time. Must have something to do with that Thursday evening.
Duco came from the bank and still played a world-class game - by the way, I say proudly yes, the most, but that turns out to be nothing according to Van Dale, but yes, I also say proudly even though it is by accident - and in addition, Annemiek was there also with. Who announced after the match that he would stop at Melmac 1, because you have to stop at your peak. This sounds a bit like Roy's Thursday evening. Well, quite a few lines from the King's Song have been crammed into this report. Very unpleasant of course, but that was the afternoon for Hebbes too. So this compensation for misery in the form of words from the most terrible song ever is very appropriate. After the game we drank beer. Some people have been out and about. That was also very nice and cozy. Now I wrote this match report with love and pleasure, because we finally won for once. Class from me. Oh yes, just to conclude: all Marco Borsato's music is bout. Stick those three fingers from that song somewhere where the sun don't shine. No, don't immediately think of that place. And from now on we will go back into the room. Until then. Greetings at home.

"The first won match of the new and especially rejuvenated Melmac 1. Roy was doing really well. Must have something to do with that Thursday evening."
