Because we did not have a competition the week after the Domcup, we as a women's team could all go back to it fresh and fruity on February 20. We were allowed back on the field together with our beloved opponent ZIGO.
Anyone who follows the score has noticed that we are not doing so well in this competition, so the hope of finally getting points was very high. Unfortunately we fell behind 0-4 in the first 5 minutes. Fortunately, Amy was there to score twice in a row with a small chance, making the score 2-4. Mirjam scored a shot from distance which left the difference by only 1 goal, but this increased to 3-6. Amy was clearly looking forward to it and threw in another small chance, 4-6. Just before half time it became 4-8. After a heated discussion at halftime because there was a real threat
happened on the field, we went back to it with motivation. Unfortunately, this discussion was not enough because the score was soon 4-9. Naomi turned out to be a golden substitution because she immediately scored the 5-9, after which Nynke made the 6-9. ZIGO soon responded again with the 6-10. To ease the pain a little, Amy scored her fourth (!) goal and we ended the match with a score of 7-10. Despite the aggressiveness that prevailed on the field and the several inappropriate statements that were made, we were able to complete the match without injuries.
