Spoordonkse Girls MW1 - Melmac MW1

We are very happy that the competition season is starting again, and we are eager to become champions this season!
For the first match we were allowed to travel to Spoordonk, where our opponents have a very original name: the Spoordonkse Girls. Naomi's car has some acceleration problems, so it was exciting how often we stalled during the ride. In the end it wasn't too bad and we all arrived safely. The match started, and it quickly became 2-0 for the opponents. This was a bit sad, but Fenna D quickly hit a nice shot into the basket. After half time the field was moved for a while because some lights were broken, luckily we had a dugout on wheels so we could roll along nicely.
However, it didn't help the slipperiness of the grass, because Anne kept slipping... We started the 2nd half in good spirits, but unfortunately we conceded a penalty and the score became 4-1. Mirjam then went very well and hit a nice shot and a through ball. Unfortunately, the opponent got a penalty and the final score became 5-3... So the ball slipped out of the hands more often this match than it ended up in the basket... Very unfortunate, but we hope with some more training the next one win competition!
